Cara: On October 1, 1976 I met and became good friends with your grandfather when he submitted a play to the New Playwrights' Theatre of Washington. I was the Literary Manager at NPTW at that time. I already owned and had read many of his books before I met him, so this was quite an important event in my life. I spent a few years in the Philippines in 1959-60 & 1964-66 where I first became knowledgeable about his wonderful work for all mankind.
